Douglas Ellis Leng from Midland MI USA: Visited the beautiful Mansion House in 1965 and had the mayor's chain of office placed around my neck as my Grandfather was Enoch Ellis, mayor of Doncaster. He died while in office in I believe 1906.
An outstanding experience for me. I was accompanied by my wife and uncle Arnold Leng and his wife Sylvia (of Doncaster).
