Doncaster News and Features: Famous Doncastrian: Liam Botham

Liam James Botham, son of cricketing legend and hairy fundraiser Ian Botham was born 26th August 1977 in Doncaster Royal Infirmary. He's best known for being a former rugby player who played both rugby union and later rugby league.

In 2005 he announced his retirement aged 27 after a neck injury.

His godfather is the former West Indian cricket captain Viv Richards.
