Doncaster Features: Famous Doncastrian: Fred Trueman
Frederick Sewards Trueman was born on 6th February 1931 in a colliery house in Stainton. His dad was Stainton's cricket captain and it's reputed that he played for the club aged just 8!
At 12 his family moved to a bigger house in Maltby.
