Doncaster Features: Famous Doncastrian: Ben Parr
Ben is son of legendary St Elmo's Fire rocker John Parr, and was born here in Doncaster on January 16 1987. He grew up with dad among the celebrity jetset including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Meat Loaf, Bruce Springsteen, Tina Turner, Bryan Adams, Demi Moore and many others.
His work experience was a little different from most of ours - it was on the set of Bond movie Die Another Day!
He first played a camp hairdresser on Oscar-nominated short film Road to Damascus before getting his big break in 2007 playing Freddie the stripper in Holyoaks.
Ben is also a three times Tae Kwon Do world champion and Black Belt.
He told the Star "Fame and celebrity won't change me. I'll still be the same me. I've grown up with it. It's the norm," said Ben, who lives with his dad, mum Sharon, young brother James and grandma Betty, in Sykehouse.
"I've only been out of education just over a year. To be honest I was expecting it to be a lot longer before I got a break like Hollyoaks. My initial plan was to teach martial arts and do private fitness training."
